Faith Formation

Overview

From religious education classes through Youth Ministry to adult Bible study groups, St. Louise offers quality faith formation opportunities for parishioners of all ages.  Catechists and volunteers in these programs take their cue from St. Louise de Marillac herself, who said, “As for your conduct toward those you serve, may you never take the attitude of merely getting the task done. You must show them affection; serving them from the heart – inquiring of them what they need; speaking to them gently and compassionately.”

School of Religion / Religious Education

The Parish School of Religion is for those students who attend public school or private school other than Catholic.  It provides on-going religious education for grades Pre-School through Eighth. Catechist volunteers, using Textbook Programs approved by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, teach the children the main ideas of their faith in order to help them live their lives as Catholics who love and follow Jesus.  The School of Religion and the parents, start young children on their first steps of a faith journey and helps them to continue a life-long journey honoring the Baptismal promises made for them by their parents and godparents. For more information about any of the classes or programs provided, please call the Religious Education Office at 626=332-5822
