Volunteers Information

 

We at St. Louise are blessed to have committed and dynamic Core Team leading teens closer to Christ. 

They are full of Love for God, Obedience to the Church, Vigorous in their Service to the Church, and they have a heart that is filled with Jesus and his people. 

We welcome everyone you are not to young or not to old to come and join us to lead teens closer to Christ. 

No Experience needed, we will provide training for you... (You are not alone, we are a TEAM)

 

We have the following opportunities for you to come and help us minister to the teens.

1) Confirmation Core Team > Organize and execute lessons, small group dynamics, Confirmation Retreats and have a great time with everyone.

2) Culinary Team > Organize and Execute dinner for over 150 people on the Sunday Night we have Confirmation, Provide food for the Confirmation Retreats and have a great time with everyone. (Joey is your Captain in the Kitchen)

3) St. Vincent de Paul Outreach Team > Organize and Execute Service to the Poor

4) Office Administration > Organize and Execute office duties with the Confirmation Coordinator, update website, maintain attendance records, make phone calls, send out mailings, help parents with registration, organize Retreat material and have fun with everyone.

 

We provide the following for all our Volunteers

On going Training Session during the summer time 4 to 6 sessions a year

Confirmation Specialization Training with the Archdiocese of Los Angeles

In House Peer  Leadership Training during the summer and on going through out the year

Attend Religious Education Congress every year (3 day seminar at the Anaheim Convention Center)

Spring / Summer Retreat for all Volunteers

 

Archdiocese Guidelines for Volunteers

Volunteers who have regular supervisory contact with minors, e.g., Health Room assistants, Library aides, Office help) 

ADULTS MUST: 

1) Fill Out Application

2) Be fingerprinted

3) Have attended VIRTUS® Protecting All God’s Children Adult Awareness Training.  (Certificates must be on file.)

4) Have signed the “Guidelines for Adults Interacting with Minors at Parish or Parish School Activities or Events.”  (Documents must be on file.)

5) Rreview Child Abuse Reporting Procedures.

 

TEENS MUST:

1) Fill Out Application

2) Read and have you and parent sign Guideline policies (Document must to be on file)
