Parent Survey 2019

Dear Parents:

As you know, an active search is underway to select a new principal for St. Louise School.  A team of very knowledgeable and qualified professionals has been selected to assist Fr. Robert with this endeavor.

In addition to Father Robert Fulton, and Ray Elder, our parish business manager, they are:

Mary Truax – Mrs. Truax currently serves as the St. Louise School Board Chairperson and is a retired teacher for the Baldwin Park Unified School District.  She is also well known for her community work in Covina.  Mrs. Truax has graciously accepted the role of chairperson.

Richard Beck – Mr. Beck is the principal of Bishop Amat Memorial Catholic High School.  He is recognized as an innovative and dynamic Catholic educator, leading the varied academic, athletic, extracurricular and campus ministry programs of the largest high school in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

Erin Burciaga – Mrs. Burciaga is a middle school teacher at Las Palmas Middle School in the Covina Valley Unified School District.  In addition to being a parishioner and graduate of St. Louise de Marillac, she has two children currently enrolled at St. Louise School and serves as the chairperson for the school’s Parent Club.

This highly-qualified group is already working hard to evaluate candidates and determine which person might best meet the needs of providing leadership for the St. Louise School community.

As part of this process, they are asking for parent input.  A very simple anonymous survey has been designed to give St. Louise parents the opportunity to share their thoughts about what are the most important skillsets needed from the new principal.  Please click on the link at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SLSPrincipal and take the very few minutes required to provide your thoughts.  Your insight is very much appreciated.  A link to the survey can also be found on the school’s home page at www.stlouisedm.org/school or by using this QR Code:
