April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. Below is a message from the St. Louise de Marillac Parish Safeguard the Children
Committee.
Each year we share our efforts to maintain a safe environment for all children on our grounds. This continues with fingerprinting
and Virtus training for all those working with children, safe facilities, and security measures here at St. Louise de Marillac Parish and
school. Also, check out our bulletin’s weekly “Did You Know” message with contact phone numbers
for assistance.
Tragically, the Ukraine – Russian war continues, inflicting unimaginable
violence and suffering. We must again give particular attention to the
plight of God’s children suffering in Ukraine and Russia.
Prayer for Peace in Ukraine and Russia:
Our God of Mercy and Peace,
We implore You to shower Your graces on the people of Ukraine and
Russia. Bring peace to their lands.
Holy Spirit, our Consolation, comfort all those who fear. Grant wisdom
and discernment to those in power.
Our Lord, Jesus Christ, Prince of Peace,
turn all hearts to You, our Savior.
St. Joseph, guard all those who have sought refuge away from their
land, and bring them safely home.
Mary, our Mother, with your gentle arms, embrace all your suffering
children.
O God, our Father, we beseech you to comfort the suffering, heal the
wounded, and accept the souls of the faithful departed into Your
Heavenly Kingdom.
